Assistant Director of Nursing
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, regulations, and standards. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities:
 Assist in oversight of the nursing department and ensure adherence to care plans and resident rights.
Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Manage nursing assistant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for residents.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Monitor patient health status and coordinate hospice care as needed.
Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements as necessary.
Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices, anatomy, physiology, and MDS requirements.
Skills:
Proficient in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform clinical decisions.
Experience in nurse management with a focus on team leadership and development.
Understanding of resident rights and advocacy within the healthcare setting.
Ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements for patient assessments.
Commitment to upholding HIPAA standards in all aspects of patient care.
Knowledge and experience with PEAK program
